Easter is translated as “Great day” in Bulgarian. Great, because of the resurrection of Jesus or at least the resurrection of Nature in spring after winter. And indeed, 2025 Easter was really great for flying with 3000 m cloudbase and 4 m/s thermals, even at 6 pm!

Nikolay Yotov celebrated the day with a 7 hours paragliding cross-country flight from Borovets to Sopot, crossing Rila mountain twice, then using Ihtimanska Sredna gora convergence to connect to Stara Planina (Balkan) mountain range for an easy ride back to Sopot. And a pee top landing before Vezhen peak 😉
