Ed ReayHaving taken one tandem flight previously I enrolled in the beginners course at SkyNomad. I was incredibly impressed with all the instructors knowledge, especially Ivo and Nikki. Their English is fantastic and have a knack of explaining complicated things in a simple way. We got unlucky with the weather so unfortunately had to travel quite long distances. But despite that, Ivo made sure we got in as many flights as possible. I love how proactive the school are in exposing students to real flying very early on (in a safe way). I’ll definitely be staying in touch and hopefully coming back in the future. Thanks for everything!

It was an amazing experience: from the pick-up in the airport, the accommodation, and of course, the training. This is perhaps the most professional school you will find! Ivo has an incredible talent for explaining complicated theory in a very clear and simple way. The flights were beautiful and beyond my expectations and with the instructors on the radio - we always felt safe and confident. Everyone was extremely friendly and made the whole experience so enjoyable. If you are debating which paragliding school to choose – DON'T! this is your place, you will not regret it! You show up feeling a bit uneasy about flying, and they guide you through it step by step, and in no-time you’re flying. I initially signed up for the beginner / intermediate courses and ended up extending my stay by an extra week just to solidify my skills. I think the best part of SkyNomads is it doesn’t feel like a typical business. You really feel like you’re with friends / family from the get-go. They really go above and beyond what would be expected from a course to make sure you have a positive experience. Matt Mottaghian2022-05-15I traveled from the UK to join Skynoamd's EP and CP paragliding courses. I have to say that I did a comprehensive research to choose a paragliding school, and I can't be more happy with my choice. I can't say enough how glad I am about going there. Niki and Ivo are great instructures and the amazing team and environment they've created really make you learn and progress. Very warm and friendly people who try everything possible to help you learn and advance. Both super skillful instructors, it was a great experience for us to sometimes hear different professional points of views. They really helped me in anyway I asked, including great advice about equipment and other bits. It is very useful to say, that the more I learn and practice paragliding and the more I see other pilots and hear their experiences, the more I realise how great the quality of the teaching was. I should say that during the CP course we actually practiced manoeuvres such as frontal and Asymmetric collapses several times, which is something that as I know, no school in the UK includes these in the CP. We even did Spiral Dive! The location is amazing with some of the best sites in the continent for paragliding. Having the luxury of a chair lift, we went to an altitude of +1400m for a great paragliding experience. This allowed us to do even 5 big flights in a day from the hight. I have to say that I really enjoyed staying in Bulgaria for 2-3 weeks and spent a lot of time exploring the country and try the great food.recommends

The club is very well organized - solid methodology, great theory lections, lots and lots of practice, good equipment and amazing instructors with top prizes from many national and international paragliding competitions. At the end of the course I felt comfortable of taking off and landing from different locations and gained confidence with my flying. Ivo and Itso were our instructors and they were so patient and gave just the right amount of guidance, giving you help and instruction when needed and taking a step back to let you have a go on your own as well. Felt safe the whole week. Bulgaria was absolutely beautiful - I never would have thought to go there unless I'd done this course but I was amazed by how stunning the countryside was. The Sky Nomad accommodation is ideal too. Would highly recommend the beginner course to anyone wanting to give paragliding a go and hopefully I will be going back soon to do the intermediate course!recommends

Rick S11 November 2023Incredible Paragliding Courses Highly, highly recommend. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to learn with the SkyNomad team. I took the beginner and intermediate courses with them and have only positive things to say. Incredibly professional; it's clear that they love what they do. Their approach to teaching and developing skills allowed us to progress rapidly, swiftly putting theory into practise, all while remaining in a controlled and safe environment. The rapid progress meant that as beginners, we were in the air fast and spent a lot of time flying; more flying is always a plus, but it also allowed us to learn and practise many skills over and over. Despite the rapid progress it never felt like things were progressing too fast, always feeling safe, in control, and comfortable as a student; I think that's something special thing about SkyNomad's approach to teaching. Always calm with clear explanations and instructions, positive reinforcement on things done well, constructive feedback about things to improve delivered in a positive light, and a nice amount of humour; you come out of the days feeling uplifted. In the intermediate course there were pilots who had been flying for some years, and even they finished the week surprised with how much they had learned. If you're looking for a paragliding school, I can say that you won't regret choosing to learn or progress with SkyNomad.Verified
Harry W22 May 2023Brilliant fun, great teaching, certainly going to return Did two weeks paragliding with SkyNomad, picking up the EP & CP qualifications. Organisation was hassle free, they arrange accomodation and Sofia transfers as well as the course. The course itself was great - the instructors strike a perfect balance between fun, safety and making sure we understood the fundamentals of paragliding. They strive to get in as much flying experience for students - over 12 course days we flew on 11, with only weather preventing flights on that one day. On top of that the region is beauitful and the food is great. I've recommended to many friends and will certainly be returning. Well worth it.Verified

I did it thanks to all the instructors. They are very kind, patient, funny, professional... The course has the perfect balance between theory and practice. The theory is well broken down and you understand why you need to learn it. For practice, you start on a small hill and can progress quickly to the big mountain. You have lots of different places to fly depending on the weather. The accommodation is really comfortable and next to the office. Sopot is a beautiful place with some nice restaurants nearby. If you want to learn, if you want to improve, if you want to go further with your paraglider... --> SkyNômad is the place to be!Verified

When my friends and I arrived in Sopot last april to learn parasailing we didn't knew what to expect: first time in Bulgary, never flew before... . Ivo, Niki and the other Skynomad-instructers made us feel immediately at ease with their relaxed professionalism and pushed us with patience to learn us their most favorite sport. And their passion for parasailing works addictive. Everybody in our group came back home with experiences we didn't dare to hope for when we started our journey and everthing happend in a safe environment. Now, back home in Belgium, we're noticing ourselfs watching the sky and wondering what the view would be like from above.. longing for and missing the Bulgarian sky and mountains.. John A15 May 2022First class tution, kit, facilities and an incredible experience In April, I completed the BHPA EP and CP courses with SkyNomad and the whole experience was far beyond my wildest expectations. The facilities, the kit and general organisation were excellent. The training was first class but the dedication and enthusiasm of the staff was never ending - many thanks Nicky, Ivo and Hristo. In addition, I always felt in safe hands. The class progressed quickly and by day 4 we took the ski-lift up the mountain for the first 'proper' flight away from the training hill. When the weather was ideal locally we were simply driven to another location where the weather was flyable. In the course of 2 weeks I completed 36 flights most of which from a height of 1,450m. The accomodation was simple, clean and comfortable. There was also a laundry room and a kitchen but eating out was so cheap I couldn't be bothered to do any cooking.The whole expeience was so good I plan to visit again later in the year and also for a month next year.Verified

Kay A13 May 2022Skynomad is a great choice I did an EP course with Skynomad in April 2022. What an amazing experience it was. The instructions Nicky and Ivo were brilliant - professional and very entertaining. We started with ground training and next day we started flying. We used 3 different sites including the high flights from 1400 meters.Choosing Skynomad was a great decision. Accommodation was basic but sufficient, food is not included but super cheap and tasty in local establishments. Many thanks to office manager Jordon Stanev for taking care of my accommodation and Dimitar Yotov who dropped me back to the airport. Each one of them was a pleasure to talk to and very good at heart.During my training... - Paraglided in three different weather conditions (Rain, Snow, Sunny) - Got trained in four different training hills - Different types of landing (Slope, High wind, No wind & Butt Landing :) - One tree landing (during take off :) - Flying in thermal conditions - Soaring - Hike and fly - Drive and fly - Lift and fly - Ground handling - Practiced asymetric collapse, frontal collapse - Tandem spiral - Loads of invaluable practical and theory lessons - Micro micrometeorology - Nearly 35 flights One thing I observed worth noting here is Skynomad team cares less about the fees but they are super focused about student learning Paragliding safely. They go any extent to teach safe paragliding.Thank you Skynomad!! Looking forward to returning back to Sopot some day for next level of training.Verified
Andrea15 March 2021It was amazing! Ive taken a full day refresher course with Nicolai and it was amazing! Such a great guy and I learned a lot from him. Sopot is amazing for flying - you have a training hill close by and the big mountain with super amazing views! Highly recommend Skynomad!
