Season 2022

As 2022 comes to an end we recap our season.

Well, what can we say as usual 2022 was a wild ride.

In April we had our first multinational beginners courses with students from the UK, Poland, US, Italy and Bulgaria.

The weather was tricky but also provided for some very beautiful views and a start of the season which looked almost magical

July 2020

While the world is going crazy on covid the thermals in Bulgaria started going crazy as well allowing our XC students and guidied groups to make some amazing flights.

The month started with the last of the intermediate courses for the spring period. The students were familiarised with active piloting techniques and extreme situation management with collapse simulation and flying at critical angles of attack.

January 2020

Despite that the winter in Bulgaria is no different than our "gypsy summer", Niki Yotov started his annual African expedition.

Niki was accompanied by the bulgarian national paragliding champion - Yasen Savov. They have a few trips planned for the next two months in Kenya and Ethiopia.

Niki and Yasen spent January in Kenya.

Unfortunately the season in Kenya this year prooved to be unusually wet with lots of rain and flooding which made the flying conditions in Kenya difficult for acheiving long distances.

July 2019

Like in the famous Uriah Heep  song - we welcomed the first rays of the Summer sunchine on the July Morning!

And the Summer came with fair weather and good conditions allowing our last group of Intermediate pilots to take control over their gliders and their flying abilities!

August 2018

With the first days of the August sun came and the long awaited summer weather.

In the first week of August our team at Skynomad organized the 2018 Czech Open championshps.

With a very favorable weather 6 valid tasks were flown by the 62 competitors.

With many smiles and many people in goal every day the competition elected the new Czech champion - Michal Sneiberg

June 2018

Despite the uncooperative weather we've managed again to fill up the month with lots of flyign and smiling faces.

7 more young birds took to the skies with the last Beginners course for the Spring season and lots of happy faces finished the 2 Intermediate courses in the beginning of the month.

August 2017

August came with the weather everyone was waiting for - record braking conditions and lots of flying.

Surely enough Yasen Savov proved that the conditions are record -breaking and smashed 2 of the Bulgarian neational records - for free distance doing 360 km from Nevsha to Kavala (Greece), and for FAI triangle - doing 225 km.

July 2017

July came with the XC conditions we've been waiting for.

Our first mixed XC group for the season turned out to be combining pilots from almost every corner of the world - we had pilots from South Africa, Australia, Hong Kong, Kenya, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Altough in July - the weather still decided to play by his own rules so we had some stormy but very beautiful days:

June 2017

With the end of June marking the beginning of the active summer season the XC enthusiasts started rolling in - our friends from the United Kingdom and Belgium managed to do some early season XC flights despite the tricky weather at times:

Niki took our friends on trips to South Western Bulgariato explore new places and flight opportunities.

As the month flew by so did a few more "little birds".
